Hedwigshöhe
Graffiti has become synonymous with the Nürburgring, especially at sections such as Hedwigshöhe. In fact, in 2013 the circuit was temporarily closed while maintenance staff removed a 30 foot penis painted onto the road surface. This section takes its name from the wife of ‘the father of the Nürburgring,’ district administrator Dr Otto Creutz, whose wife enjoyed standing here watching while construction on the ‘Ring took place. The Nürburgring was her husband’s creation though it is not known whether he would have approved of the circuit’s graffiti.
