Governor’s Bridge is from Rachael Clegg’s Milestones series in which every single image illustrates an event from the history of the Isle of Man TT Races.

The story:

Pre war cinema goers and post war TV watchers would have been familiar with this spot as it was here, at Governor’s Bridge, where some of the earliest footage of the TT Races was taken. British Pathé filmed the event from the early 1920s, often basing their camera crew here and at the Grandstand. Later, in the 1950s and early 1960s, the BBC would take footage of this tight hairpin. But television coverage of the TT in general was relatively scant until the 1990s. 

Rachael Clegg's Limited Edition Art Prints have something of a cult following with collectors across the globe. Limited to edition runs of just 30, each print is signed and numbered by Rachael Clegg and comes with a certificate of authenticity and accompanying story text.
