The Singing River is a limited print of 30 editions from Rachael Clegg’s Muscle Shoals series in which every single image illustrates an event from the history of rock and roll. All shots were taken at the specific locations as to where an historical event (or legend, in this case) occurred across Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Sheffield, Alabama. This small pocket of Alabama is home to some of the most iconic music recording studios in the world, where some of the biggest hits in music history were recorded.

The story:

The rich musical heritage to have come out of Muscle Shoals dates back to the Native American Indians, who believed that the Tennessee River would ‘sing’, Hence, the section of the Tennessee that passes through Muscle Shoals is know as the ‘Singing River’.

Rachael Clegg's Limited Edition Art Prints have something of a cult following with collectors across the globe. Limited to edition runs of just 30, each print is signed and numbered by Rachael Clegg and comes with a certificate of authenticity and accompanying story text.
